The ICACU considers new applications once every 3 years. Having recently been accredited, I will be appointed by the ICACU on cases to represent a parent, from a Hague Convention country, where their child has been abducted to England and Wales. The appointment means that I can now make applications to the High Court on behalf of the parent seeking the return of the child. I look forward to working on these cases which are complex, fast paced and really interesting.
I am delighted that I have been admitted to the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) referral list. The criteria set by the ICACU means that only solicitors with good experience in child abduction work may apply to be accredited. One of the pre-requisites is that the applicant is already accredited to the Law Society’s Family Law Advanced panel, and has taken the Child Abduction and Wardship optional component.
