Congratulations to the trio from Wilson solicitors who have been shortlisted in the LALY awards. The Wilsons finalists are:
Marcela Navarrete in the immigration and asylum category,
Mark Gilmartin in the family private category and
Katy Robinson in the public law category.
We wish our finalists and the other shortlisted contenders all the very best in the awards. The LALY awards ceremony is a tribute to the vital work carried out under the legal aid for the most disadvantaged in society. Without legal aid these clients would have no hope of access to justice. Legal aid has been the subject of cuts and restrictions which have grown in intensity over the last decade in the name of austerity. Well done to the LALYs and LAPG for promoting the cause of legal aid. The LALY awards take place on Wednesday, 5 July 2017.
