National Pro-Bono week

On Wednesday night, as part of National Pro-Bono week, Wilsons hosted N17’s edition of the Great Legal Quiz. Organised by the London Legal Support Trust, participants’ general knowledge was tested to the extreme with teams going head to head in attempting to ask 90 questions on a huge variety of topics. It was a fiercely-contested event with “Outside the Rules” finally emerging victorious by a margin of just half a point from “Scrambled Eggs”. The event raised over £550.00 for charity, with the proceeds being split between The London Legal Support Trust and our chosen local charity, the Haringey Migrant Support Centre, who put up a strong team for the event, finishing close behind the leaders in third place. The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal services in London & the South East. The excellent Haringey Migrant Support Centre provides advice on immigration and welfare issues, health advice and help in accessing NHS services, a hot meal and a space to relax and socialise.
