We are honoured to have been shortlisted for two Law Society Excellence Awards 2021.
The firm – that’s all of our wonderful people – has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Access to Justice Award.
It is an award given to firms or organisations who go the extra mile in providing access to justice. The nomination is a recognition of the great legal aid work our team does and the initiatives we get involved in to widen access to justice, including our work with Here for Good, Micro Rainbow and Islington In Europe.
And we are also so thrilled that Michael Hanley, our former Senior Partner, has been shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of all that he did for the firm, the clients, and the wider legal aid sector over more than 30 years. The nomination is so well deserved by Michael.
Law Society of England and Wales president I. Stephanie Boyce said: “Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted. After an extraordinary year, it has never been more important to celebrate the outstanding work of our profession”.
Matthew Davies, Managing Partner at Wilsons, said: “We believe in justice for all, and for our whole firm to be recognised in this way, and a nomination for Michael’s lifetime of achievement, is very special”.
The ceremony is going to be a virtual one this year and will be on 7TH October.
Full details of all the nominees and where to register to attend the online ceremony can be found here. Congratulations to all those shortlisted in every category.
