We can advise individuals on judicial reviews to challenge immigration detention, conditions of immigration bail and some immigration decisions.
For people on a low income, we can assist with applications for legal aid for such judicial reviews and with the pre-action steps that are necessary for a judicial review to be started at court.
We can represent people in judicial review and habeas corpus proceedings in the High Court, in applications for urgent interim relief, and challenges to immigration bail conditions and some immigration decisions in the High Court or Immigration and Asylum Chamber of the Upper Tribunal.
Our recent cases include challenges on behalf of:
- individuals to decisions associated with the policy of relocating asylum seekers to Rwanda;
- people seeking asylum detained after arriving by small boats;
- people without British citizenship convicted ofcrimes and subject to long-term immigration detention; and
- individuals subjected to GPS tags that monitorwhere they are at all times of the day.
