We can advise you if you or a family member are detained by the immigration authorities. We can advise you on the lawfulness of that detention and how you can request to be released from detention. We can advise you on the criteria that is used to decide if someone should be detained and whether the guidelines have been followed properly.
We can assist you with making representations that you should be released and we can prepare a bail application for you. We will advise you on what you will need, including a surety and a bail address, and assist where we can if these are nit available.
We can represent you at your bail hearing (or instruct expereinced barristers). Our Public Law Team can bring court action for damages if you have been unlawfully detained.
